Here today and gone tomorrow

Here today and gone tomorrow…….

The day I took these images I was focused on getting some beautiful images of a local Senior in High School. I was set on getting images that she and her mother would absolutely love and will cherish forever.
Earlier in the week I had passed this awesome field completely overflowing with this gorgeous red flower clover. All I could think of were images of a beautiful young lady with a glorious sun as a back light. I had my senior and I went for the field.
I was able to get the shot that I had in my head and my clients loved the results. They got some wonderful images in the field and I can’t wait to shoot there again.
About 2 weeks after I captured these images I drove back by that field that had these amazing flowers and the red was completely gone. All that remained was the field of green and where the flowers had been only brown. All that beauty gone so quickly.
As I look back at these images it makes me think and compare that field to the life of this young woman and her mom. During this time of graduation it makes a mom ponder.
She was born as the light of her mom’s life. Her mom loved her and raised her and taught her values that she would need to live her life and grow to raise another as she was raised. But all too quickly the time comes that they leave us.
Like this beautiful field of flowers they are given to us to enjoy and watch. We can only hope as they leave us that we have done what we need to do as parents. That we have given our kids all the information and guidance that they will need to continue on their journey as they make their own way.
It is a time of pride and joy, but also a time of sadness. As my daughter also graduates and leaves the proverbial nest these are my thoughts and prayers.

Pumpkin Patch Pretty

I absolutely LOVE color! As a child, when asked my favorite color I would say ‘rainbow’. I love them all. I think fall is one of the best times of year to photograph a wide variety of color. And what better to choose as a subject for such a colorful backdrop than a precious little girl?

Baby photography

A nice colorful outfit and bow really set off what I think is a gorgeous image. Who could resist that precious little face? There is so much personality hidden in those eyes.

Baby photography

We had a great time taking these pictures. These were taken at Neumier’s Nursery. They are a local nursery located on the North side of Fort Smith, Arkansas. The nursery itself is located in the yard area of the business owners, it is an awesome and quaint home town business.  They have multiple photo opportunities set up on their property, free of charge to anyone wanting a great fall backdrop.

Here at Picture Perfect Photography our passion is capturing beautiful images of women. No matter the age, shape or color. We love making women look and feel fabulous. This little one may not actually ‘feel’ how she looks but her parents do and she is simply beautiful. And these will be images they treasure forever.

Now, it wouldn’t due to have a collection of fall baby images without a little Halloween witch in the mix. This is fall at it’s best……and I love it!!

Pregnancy is Beautiful

Pregnancy is a beauty thing! I think that pregnant women are some of the most beautiful women I ever see. I recently had the privilege of having a session with this mom (and soon to be new mom) and her family. It was an absolute joy to do.

I think that pregnant women absolutely glow. They radiate love and joy, even amidst all the not so pleasant parts of pregnancy.

It is such a blessing for God to grant you such an amazing gift. Becoming and being a mom are the hardest but most rewarding things a woman can do. And it is awesome to be able to capture this time in your life and save it to be cherished.

I wish I could have had images like this back when I was pregnant. All I have are a few (not so flattering) snapshots of a big ‘ol belly. Sad, sad times, only 16 and 12 years ago. My, how times and abilities have changed.

In todays digital age we are able to capture life as we live it, on a daily basis. But to have professional images like these……..priceless!
